Our History
George Merrill Cooper of Orland Park, Illinois founded M. Cooper Supply Company in 1938. For 60 years, the supply house thrived as a small plumbing distributor in the far southwest suburbs of Chicago. On September 1, 1998, Goode Industries purchased M. Cooper Supply. Dennis Goode, along with his sons Greg and Dan, took control of the company and over the next 12 years it grew into a multiple-branch company with over 80 employees.
In 2004, M. Cooper Supply opened a subsidiary called M. Cooper Cabinet Company. Initially a fledgling cabinet supplier to new home and downtown high-rise projects, M. Cooper Cabinet experienced substantial growth over the next 5 years.
In September of 2010, M. Cooper Supply acquired K&L Supply of Hanover Park, now known as M Cooper North. The addition of the Hanover Park location enhanced our ability to better service the entire Chicago market.
Currently, M Cooper Supply operates out of two distribution centers. Having an excellent history of controlling operating expenses and maximizing inventory turns has created a business portfolio that will take us to higher levels of sales and service in the future. Our success is based on our commitment to providing value added services and top-quality products to our customers. Our company philosophy is to say "YES" rather than to think of a reason to say "no", and that makes all the difference!
